William C. “Bill” Crowe, age 80, a life-long resident of Norton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017 with members of his loving family around him. He was the beloved husband of Marjorie M. “Midge” (Hall) Crowe.
Born in Norton, MA on July 29, 1937, he was a devoted son of the late Howard A. and Marion R. (Bottomley) Crowe.
Bill was a graduate of Stockbridge School of Agriculture and Cornell University Farrier Program. He worked for many years at Capron Park in Attleboro and with his sawmill and horses.
Bill enjoyed working on antique engines, maintaining his equipment, gardening and vacationing throughout New England. He spent as much time as possible in outside activities and projects.
Bill was strong and steadfast, loyal to his family and could always be counted on by them.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children Matthew Crowe and his wife Candace of Norton, and Elizabeth Baker and her husband Timothy of Norton. He was the dear grandfather of Jacob Crowe and wife Alison, Benjamin Crowe and fiancé Julie, Emily Baker and Samuel Baker. He was the great-grandfather of Alexander Crowe. He was the dear brother of Alan Crowe of Westfield, John Crowe of Burlington, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his graveside funeral service on Tuesday, November 21st at 1:00 P.M. at the Norton Common Cemetery, West Main St. (Route 123) in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 20th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
In lieu of flowers donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Memorial Fund at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, P.O. Box 2068, Norton, MA 02766.
