Obituary



WORCESTER-Paul J. Nagle, 84, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Worcester Health Center. He was born in Worcester, son of Leo P. and Katherine (Sullivan) Nagle and graduated from Commerce High School. Paul was a US Navy Veteran and served on the USS Mullany during the Korean War. After discharge from the Navy, Paul joined the Iron Workers Union Local 7 and worked as an iron worker for many years until retirement.

Paul was an amazing cook and enjoyed sharing recipes. "Nagles Bagels" was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He had a joke or a funny story for everyone. He truly enjoyed making people laugh. Paul was also a huge fan of all Boston sports teams. It pained him to miss any games. He was a member of the American Legion on Providence Street in Worcester.

He is survived by four children, Nancy Beauregard of
N. Oxford, Danny Nagle of Worcester, Michael Nagle of Worcester and Diane Cormier of Florida; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves his favorite sister, Noreen R. Bisceglia of Shrewsbury and another sister, Kathleen E. Piscione, and many nephews and nieces. A special thank you to Paul’s niece, Donna Bisceglia-Cofske and her husband Bob, and Paul’s nephew Joseph L. Nagle, for their loving care and visits which meant the world to Paul. Two brothers, Robert P. and Joseph L. Nagle predeceased him.

Paul’s family would like to thank the staff at Worcester Health Center for the wonderful care they provided to Paul at the end stage of his life. They would especially like to thank Rick Plant, Rose Mazzola and Addie Lawrence for the extra care they provided.

A Funeral will be held on Friday, November 17th from CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Burial will be held at a later date. Visiting hours will also be held on Friday from 9:30 until 10:30 am in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Veteran’s Inc., 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
