Obituary

Patricia Ann Moore was born in Memphis, TN on February 14, 1960, (she was affectionately known as "Cookie"). She was the daughter of the late J.C. Lester and the late Mary Louise Johnson and was raised in Memphis, TN, Boston, MA, and Chicago, IL, she was also reared by her late step-father William Tucker.

Patricia ("Cookie") attended the following schools, the John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Boston, MA, the Mary E. Curley Jr. High School, Boston, MA and later graduated from the Harper High School in Chicago, IL. Cookie's work career was spent in the healthcare, security and fast food service industries. She loved watching movies, camping with her family and trips to Foxwoods. After relocating from Memphis, TN, Cookie had lived in Brockton, MA for the past 28 years.

Cookie was the wife of the late Lonnie C. Moore, II., of Memphis, TN. To that union she was the mother to three (3) children, Marcus, Barron and Latasha Moore.

After battling a courageous and long battle, Cookie succumbed to her serious illness on November 1, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA, she was 57.

Cookie was pre-deceased by her parents J.C. Lester and Mary Louise Johnson and her step-father William Tucker; her son Marcus Moore, a baby daughter, her husband Lonnie C. Moore, II, two (2) brothers Willie Johnson and J.T. Lester.

Cookie is survived by her son Barron Moore of Brockton, MA, her daughter Latasha Moore of Memphis, TN, and her grandchildren Keyanna Marie Moore and Jamon Santiago Moore. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Lorretta Johnson of Chicago, IL, her brother Lawrence Hearn of Dorchester, MA, her sister Shirley Copeland of Boston, MA, her brother William Lester of Brockton, MA, and her sister Earnestine Ukomah of San Diego, CA. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family and friends.

Patricia ("Cookie") will be remembered as a passionate lady who loved to call and reach out to her family and friends. More recently, she devoted herself to her church, the New England Baptist Church in West Bridgewater, MA.

Visitation will be held at the New England Baptist Church, 560 N. Main St, West Bridgewater, MA on Friday, November 10, 2017 9-10am with a funeral service 10-11:30am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton, MA.
