James E. Topoulos, age 63, of East Bridgewater, died November 1, 2017, at South Shore Hospital following a brief illness. He was the loving husband for 31 years of Diana L. (Boyle) Topoulos. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late George and Lillian (Gonis) Topoulos.
Jimmy was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School and had worked at Shaw’s Supermarket for 47 years. Jimmy began working at Shaw’s at the age of 16 and was currently the Produce Manager in Sharon.
He had been a member of the Shaw’s softball and bowling teams and played basketball for the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Jimmy enjoyed time with his family and friends, the beach and the outdoors. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed fantasy football.
Jimmy is survived by his children Noah Boyle and his girlfriend Amanda Balboni, Daniel Topoulos and Alexandra Topoulos and her boyfriend Kenneth Wieners; nieces Nikole Lynch, Linda Lonergan, Katie Rogers Carrigan and nephews Bobby and Jason Lonergan. He was the brother of Francis Lonergan and Rodney and Robert Finch.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 138) Brockton on Tuesday November 7, 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11am for a Funeral Service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak Street, Brockton at 12pm. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Donations in Jimmy’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
