Mrs. Joan I. (Dixon) Prawdzik, a resident of Andover, MA and Lake Nubanusit, Nelson, NH and beloved wife of the late John A. Prawdzik Jr., passed away at the St.'s Memorial Hospital in Lowell on Sunday afternoon, October 22, 2017. She was 91 years old and passed of natural causes while surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Joan was the beloved daughter of the late John and Elsie (Brechlin) Dixon. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo College.
In addition to caring for her growing family, Mrs. Prawdzik always focused on helping others in need. She enjoyed golf, was an avid reader and you could often find her at their summer home on Lake Nubanusit in New Hampshire.
Joan is survived by her loving children; David J. and his wife Luci C. Prawdzik of Andover, Daniel B. and his wife Beth A. Prawdzik of Andover, Steve D. Prawdzik of Vail, Colorado and Lisa A. and her husband Jim E. Gray of Andover and grandchildren; Gabriella C., John A. III, Benjamin R., Daniel B. Jr., Maxwell N., Andrew R., Jillian E. and Alex J.
A private graveside service will be held in Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, New Hampshire where she will be buried alongside her late husband John.
