Above all, she loved spending time with her loving family, her many dear friends and her cherished grandchildren who lovingly called her “Memere Shortcake” and who always managed to put a smile on her face. Her family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Willimansett Center West in Chicopee for their compassionate care of Laurette while she was with them. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Raymond L. Marcil, Sr. who was Called Home on January 4, 1985.
