MARA, Virginia Marie of Roslindale, died on October 12, 2017 at the age of 82. She was the beloved daughter of the late Irene and Frank Mara. Loving sister of Joan Mara of Milton and the late Rev. Francis E. Mara. Nieces and nephews include Kevin McCune of Plymouth, Christopher McCune of West Bridgewater, Maureen Hanratty of Marshfield, Brian McCune of East Bridgewater, Virginia Viles of Medfield, Edward McCune of Boston, Kathleen O’Brien of Whitman and Joanmarie of Dorchester. Virginia also was the aunt to 19 great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. Virginia was born and raised in Roslindale. She was an active member of St. John Chrysostom Parish for many years. Virginia’s family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Manor in Brockton who have cared for Virginia over the past few years. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Wednesday, October 18th at 9 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours at the Gormley Funeral Home one hour prior to mass. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
