Steven J. Whalley, Sr., age 55, a lifelong resident of Taunton, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Morton Hospital in Taunton.
Born in Taunton, MA on March 10, 1962, he was a son of Marilyn (Walczak) Gagnon of Taunton and the late Joseph Gagnon.
Steve grew up in Taunton and was educated in Taunton schools. He had worked as a landscaper and his favorite pastime was fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children Steven J. Whalley, Jr. of Taunton and Kyla M. Whalley of Fall River. He was the brother of Patricia White, Deborah Melo and the late Richard Whalley. He is also survived by his granddaughter Laila Whalley of Taunton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at a later date and place to be announced. Visiting hours are omitted.
