Obituary

Mr. Jean Michelet Stimphol of Randolph passed away on October 6, 2017.
Jean Michelet Stimphil was born In Haiti (Port-Au Prince) on Nov 16, 1958. Jean left his true passion of philosophy and political activism within his country to then migrated to the United States in hopes to live the “America Dream”. Jean has been in New York, Miami, but decide to make Boston his home in 1988. In 1990 Jean and his significant other Antoinette had a baby boy Rockny Stimphil. He also had two daughters Samantha & Marie as well as two boys still in Haiti Clifford & Ansy. He worked as a cab driver to make his living.
Jean had a family to take care of which was not a problem until 2004. In 2004 he found out he had a failing kidney after an initial health scare of a seizure that same hospital visit that brought him in to being with. Then he had started a process of dialysis where he had to get his blood clean every 2 days. In 2009 they found a donor and he got a kidney transplant. That lasted a couple years until the kidney rejected and he went back on dialysis. Jean fought long and hard even when he couldn’t give 100 percent everyday. August 25 2017, Jean had a stroke and fell on the bathroom floor. When he fell he hit the back his head and struck the stem of his brain had caused internal bleeding in his brain. Jean was in coma (Locked in syndrome) for a month and passed away October 6, 2017. He leaves behind significant other Antoinette, son Rockny Stimphil, daughters Samantha, Marie, his brothers and sisters in and out of the country as well as his supporting Cousins the Sicot family. Jean was a loving man. He enjoyed being with his grand kids; Karen, Noah, and baby Christopher in his spare time. Jean was a people person, kind-hearted, a true meaning of a warrior and a huge fan of Boston Sports as well as cheering for his National team of Haiti in their quest to raise a World Cup! Jean Michelet Stimphil will be missed dearly by his loved ones.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 16 from 10-11 AM. , Followed by a funeral home service.
