CHICOPEE – Alex Cunha, 27, of Chicopee, was Called Home on Sunday, October 8, 2017. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on November 28, 1989, a beloved son of Alfredo A. and Terry B. Cunha, of Chicopee. He was raised in Chicopee where he lived his entire life. In addition to his beloved parents, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving brothers and sisters, Jeffery D. Cunha and his wife, Sara, of Wilbraham, Julie A. Cunha and her partner, Curtis Jones, III, of Springfield, Jonathan M. Cunha of Chicopee, Stephanie D. Cunha of Chicopee and Anthony D. Cunha and his fiancée, Evelyn Gonciarz, of Athol; his six cherished nephews and nieces, Oliver, Adeline, Benjamin, Natalie, Nicholas and Cadence; his dear grandmother, Lucinda Cunha of Chicopee; his dear uncles and aunts, Camilo Cunha, Delmira and Robert King and Marcell and Larry Joyner; as well as his extended family and friends. Alex was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Antonio Cunha and Bennie and Lucille Bottoms; and his dear aunts, Sue, Bonnie, Kathy and Kaye. His family will receive friends on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
