Kathleen J. Leosz
10/2/2017

Kathy Leosz, 65, passed away peacefully Monday, October 2, 2017. She was surrounded by family, friends, and messages of love and admiration from all those fortunate to know her.

Kathy was born in Salem, MA to the late Frank and Eunice (Ouellette) Leosz. She graduated from Salem High School in 1969 and went on to work for New England Telephone Company for many years before her retirement.

Kathy spent her life in service to others. From personalized crafts to gift baskets to baking cookies to writing funny poems, she was frequently creating surprises to brighten people’s lives. While all of that made Kathy special, her greatest legacy was caring for her disabled brother Ron, who loved her in equal measure. They share a bond unbroken by her passing.

Kathy also had a special relationship with her mother Eunice, with whom she bought and shared a home for many years before her mother’s passing. Her brother David remembers her unconditional love and unselfish spirit. Kathy had a supportive nature and was a friend like no other. We would do well to follow her example.

Kathy loved spoiling her nieces and nephew, children and grandchildren of her cousins and friends, doting on her beloved cats, and laughing with her many friends, including her dear Ha-Ha Sisterhood. Trips to Foxwoods and Vegas were always a favorite. Kathy will be remembered for her kindness, sacrifice, and true friendship. Her tenacity and good cheer were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Kathy’s surviving family includes her brother Ronald Leosz, brother David and his wife Ruth Leosz, nieces Erin and Heather Leosz, nephew Brian Leosz, and many close cousins and relatives.

The family invites Kathy’s friends and loved ones to attend calling hours on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette Street, Salem, MA 01970.
