Michael R. Cloutier, Sr., age 61, of Taunton, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of Donna (Tedesco) Cloutier.
Born in Taunton, MA on August 10, 1956, he was a son of the late Roger Cloutier and Joan (Mooney) Philibert.
Mike grew up Taunton and was educated in Taunton and Attleboro schools. During the Vietnam Era, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
He had made his home in Taunton for most of his life, and was a former self-employed carpenter operating under the business name of South Shore Rehab Specialists.
Mike was a member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton and the Italian Social Club in Taunton. He enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid sports fan and in the winter months, enjoyed plowing snow.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Brooke M. Zigler and her husband Troy of PA, Melanie E. Cravener and her husband Justin of PA, Michael R. Cloutier, Jr. and his wife Megan of PA, Keith M. Cloutier of Taunton and Angela L. DeMello of Taunton. He was the brother of Deborah Viera of Oregon, Danny Cloutier of Taunton, David Cloutier of Taunton, Cindy Goodwin of Florida, Robin Gray of Attleboro, Jimmy Philibert of Attleboro and Tracy Rounds of Attleboro. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His memorial service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 11:00 A.M. in the Winthrop Street Baptist Church, 39 Winthrop St., Taunton. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.
