Obituary

A Celebration of Life for Marjorie Siciline Brown
Marjorie Siciline Brown was born on April 29, 1935 to Altamont and Deborah Worrell in Preston Hill, St. Mary, Jamaica, West Indies. She was the ninth of ten children. She was married on September 13, 1975 to Roy Alphonso Brown. She had nine children, thirteen grand children and two great-grand children. She graduated from Moneague Teachers College in Jamaica, West Indies. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Cambridge College; Cambridge, Massachusetts.
She was a teacher in Jamaica for twenty years. She was very dedicated to her profession and was extremely passionate about teaching and working with children. She loved and cherished her students; had high expectations of them and encouraged them to always do their best. She was inspirational and had a long lasting impact on their lives. She established a strong rapport and trusting relationships with her students. She was an excellent communicator and good listener.
In pursuit of a better life for herself and her family she migrated to the United States of America in 1990. During her lifetime, Marjorie touched many lives. She was a devoted wife and mother and it was always a joy to be in her presence. She had an amazing sense of humor that ignited hearts and souls around her. She was kind-hearted, warm, loving and a caring person. Family and friends would describe her as “sweet, humble and respectful.” She was always there for her children and insisted that they take care of each other.
Marjorie is survived by her husband (Roy Alphonso Brown); Two sisters (Frances M. Notice and Kathleen A. Worrell); Nine children: Paulette Brown (Noel Brown Snr.), Horatio Williams, Melva Williams, Arlette Brown (Delroy Stewart); Andrew Brown (Anicen Brown); Heather Brown, Stacey Brown, Tricia Brown and Wagner Brown (Shannon Jackson); Thirteen grand children: Noel Brown, Jnr., Nicole Brown and Norman Brown, Rudolph (Lecander Sterling) and Renee Forbes, Corrine and Tasha Tate, Dimitri and Jovani Brown, Sue-Ann Henry and Tyrese Mckenon; Wagner Philppeaux and Tristen Eyma; Two great-grand children: Franchesca and Justin Forbes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday October 12, at 11:00 am in The Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Washington St. Boston, MA (South End). Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hour in the church on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester, MA.
