SOMERSET - Wayne Alyn Motta of Somerset, MA passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 27, 2017. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Ana (Ferreira) Motta and his children Brooke Motta and her husband Matthew Mullin of San Francisco, CA. Ryan Motta and partner Courtney Hyland from MN, Ryan Silveira and wife Angela of Fall River and Megan Silveira from Somerset.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Thomas Motta and Mary (Medeiros) Motta. He leaves behind a brother Thomas Motta, wife Debbie, Brother, Dana Motta and wife Paula and sister Dawn Rapoza and husband Tim. He leaves behind his two wonderful grandchildren Madeleine and Myles, who he adored, along with several loving nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his mother in law, Naria Ferreira and leaves behind two beloved pets, Rosie and Muffin.
A dedicated employee of NRG GenOn Energy Services, for 29 years as a licensed 3rd class engineer, who also held a second-class water treatment license. Wayne enjoyed sports just as much as he enjoyed being with his family. Wayne will always be remembered by his sense of humor, charming smile and ability to enjoy a good time. His unlimited generosity and ability to make everyone feel important will be sadly missed.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard’s Church, Assonet at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Monday 4-8 P.M.
