Obituary

Mrs. Susan P. (Skelly) Reardon, a lifelong resident of Lawrence and beloved wife of Bernard M. Reardon, passed away at the Academy Manor Nursing Center in Andover on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was 70 years old.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on May 19, 1947, she was the beloved daughter of the late Allan D. and Agnes J. (Barrett) Skelly Jr. Mrs. Reardon was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and Cardinal Cushing College. She was a dedicated teacher for the City of Lawrence for more than 41 years before her retirement. In her spare time, Susan enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and volunteering. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Patrick Church in Lawrence as well as the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and the St. Claire League. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Besides her devoted husband, Bernard, with whom she just celebrated 48 years of marriage in July, Susan is survived by her loving children; Sean B. and his wife Dawnmarie Reardon of Lawrence, Neal R. and his wife Nancy E. Reardon of Rutland, MA, Meaghan E. and her husband David J. Choate of Pelham, NH, and Keara A. and her husband Parna Sem of Lawrence; brother, Robert and his wife Bonnie Skelly of Alexandria, VA and grandchildren; Marissa, Thomas, Patrick, Ciara, Jaxen, Mannix and baby Sem. She was the sister-in-law of MaryEllen and Vincent Molinaro of Methuen and Kathleen Skelly of Needham and aunt to three nephews, Paul, Chris and Erik and their families.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 118 S. Broadway, Lawrence, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Monday, October 2, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
