Teresa (Simoes) Vieira, age 71 of Taunton, passed away on September 28, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of Jacinto Vieira.
Teresa was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal, a daughter of the late Julio and Cecilia (Junipero) Simoes.
Mrs. Vieira was a kind loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, attending mass, and praying the rosary.
Besides her husband Jacinto of over 25 years, she is survived by her children, Jorge Pacheco and his wife Cheryl of Whitman, Lucia Johnson, Maria Crancha, Jose Vieira and Daniel Vieira all of Taunton, sister of Odete Simoes of Taunton, grandmother of Kayla, Justin, Kyle, Chelsea, Isabella, Ben, Trey, Devonte, Thomas, Brittany, Kelcey, Kaitlyn, and Joerdan, great-grandmother of Kyden, Mackenzie, Nevaeh and Sophia.
She was also the sister of the late Manuel and Jose Simoes.
Teresa’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 8:45 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School St,
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Monday, October 2nd from 4 to 7 pm.
(Additional parking with full handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home)
