Mary A. (Lydon) LoDico, age 91, of Mansfield, formerly of Sharon and Foxboro passed away peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Wingate At Norton. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward I. LoDico and former wife of the late Robert C. Willette.

Born in Norwood, MA on December 22, 1925, she was a loving daughter of the late Joseph and Delia (Foley) Lydon.

Mary grew up in Norwood and was a graduate of Norwood High School. Prior to retiring, she had worked as a retail manager for the former Almy’s Department Store, Mars Bargainland and Butner’s.

A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Mary loved spending time with her family, winters spent in Florida and summers spent in Manomet. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles and listening to country western music.

She is survived by her devoted children Robert E. Willette and his wife Pepper of Rockland, Richard A. Willette of Ashland, Gerald P. “Jerry” Willette and his wife Alisa of Mansfield, Brian J. Willette and his wife Karen of North Carolina, Leonard C. Willette and his wife Andrea of Shirley, Rick LoDico and his wife Barbara of New Jersey, Deborah A. LoDico of New Jersey and the late Marilyn J. Anufrom. She was the dear sister of William Lydon of Bellingham, and the late Elizabeth D’Angelo, Joseph Lydon, Anna Pasquino, Catherine Pasquino and Irene Payne. She is also survived by many cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 27th at 11:00 A.M. in St Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at 1:45 P.M. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 26th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

Those attending her service are asked to dress in Mary’s favorite color of blue.

Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, Mary’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 Myles Standish Blvd #103., Taunton, MA 02780.
