SOMERSET – Steven Velozo, age 61 of Somerset, passed away on Wednesday, Sep. 20, 2017. Born on Dec. 19, 1955 in Fall River, he was the beloved son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Couto) Velozo; loving husband of 43 years to Zoleen Velozo; beloved father of Steven M. Velozo (Chris) of Swansea; brother of Henry Velozo (wife Elaine); uncle of Katie & Erik McCabe, Jonathan Velozo, Lindsey Mello, Amy Velozo, & Nicholas Evangelist.
Steve worked for The Coca Cola Company for 38 years. He was an avid guitar enthusiast, still owning his first guitar that he purchased at 10 years old. He enjoyed Open Mic Nights at Sandywoods Farm in Tiverton, playing the piano, riding his Harley, driving his 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air antique car, and loved camping at South Shore Beach.
The one thing Steve thoroughly loved, was spending quality time with his family and friends, who will miss him deeply.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
