Obituary

Orina Reagan passed away peacefully on September 19th at the age of 94. She was the wife of the late James J. Reagan and the daughter of the late Joseph K. and Dora W. (Wilbur) Delano.
A lifelong resident of Dartmouth, she graduated as valedictorian from Dartmouth High School in 1941 and for many years organized their class reunions. She attended the Kinyon School in New Bedford where she later taught business courses and met her husband Jim. She was a town meeting member and poll worker for the Town of Dartmouth, and worked as a bookkeeper for several companies until retiring at the age of 88 from her family’s business, the Delano Sawmill.

Orina was an avid New England Patriots fan who loved gathering with family and friends to watch football. She was especially talented at many kinds of needlework, volunteering her talent to help others. She enjoyed reading several books a week, and always had a jigsaw puzzle in process. One of her favorite pass times was playing bridge or board games at family gatherings.

Survivors include her three daughters and spouses Maureen R. and Richard H. York of North Falmouth; Kathleen M. Wilhelmsen of Mattapoisett, and Eileen C. and Thomas J. Sebastiao of Mattapoisett; five grandchildren Amber Delano York, James David Wilhelmsen, Leah Karin Wilhelmsen, Kathryn Rae Sebastiao and Christina Ann Sebastiao; her brother Arthur J. Delano and his wife Barbara of Erie, PA, her sister Claire Driesen and her husband Donald of Dartmouth; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and close extended family members.

She was pre-deceased by her two brothers Wilbur W. and Gerald G. Delano, and sister Ann Frias.

Burial arrangements are private.
