Obituary

Reddish, Michael Andrew, 25, a life-long Natick resident, died suddenly on September 18th after a hard fought battle with addiction. Michael was a son, a brother, a grandson a nephew, and a friend. His life was so much more than this disease. Those who truly know and love him will remember his infectious smile that could light up any room. They will remember the kindness he shared with all; a sibling, a close friend or just someone in need. While outwardly quiet and thoughtful, Michael was also a fierce protector of those he loved, especially his beloved sister Haley.

Over the past 5 months, the smile returned to his face as he reunited with old friends and made new ones who supported his journey, especially Kara and her family. Tennis matches became more frequent and his passion for life returned as he hit the golf course with renewed purpose, earning him a hole in one a few weeks ago. A natural and gifted athlete, he played hockey and soccer in his hometown of Natick. He loved his ski weekends away with his brother Matt, and his summer trip to the Outer Banks with his family in North Carolina was a special highlight.

Like his mother, Theresa, Michael was an animal lover who took great solace in caring for his beloved dogs. Whether he was traveling on a smooth road or navigating troubled waters, his dogs were right by his side. Michael also worked hard, like his namesake and father, Big Michael as they worked side-by-side, sharing the passion of building beautiful homes and enjoying time spent together.

Michael is survived by his parents Theresa and Michael; his older brothers Scott and Matthew and younger sister Haley; his Grandmothers Doris Goldman and Elsa Reddish, Grandparents Boyd and Sandra Rich as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from all parts of his life.

The family desires a private service; tributes in his honor can be made to SOAR Natick c/o of Needham Bank, 17 West Central St, Natick, MA 01760. www.soarnatick.org
