Obituary



SHREWSBURY – Kitrick A. Kelly, Sr., 63, died peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester following a brief illness. He was born in Brooklyn, New York one of eight children to the late James and Eleanor (Weiss) Kelly.
As a young man, Kitrick enlisted in the US Air Force, working within Security Police and proudly served during the Persian Gulf War, retiring as a Tech Sergeant in 1994. Following his retirement, Kitrick became a Court Officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, serving in the Worcester Courthouse as well as many outlying County Courthouses.
He enjoyed reading, watching movies, as well as spending time with family. He was an avid sports fan, supporting his native teams, the New York Giants, the New York Mets, as well as the New York Rangers.
He leaves his two sons, Ryan O. Kelly of Shrewsbury and Kitrick Kelly, Jr. of Worcester; his seven siblings, James, Brian, Timothy, Philip, Doreen, Annette and April; as well as his two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Caitlin Kelly.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Kitrick’s family on Thursday, September 21, from 4-7 p.m. at the CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. Burial with military honors will be held privately in Saint Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, 901 E Street, NW, Suite 100, Washington, DC 2004-2025.
