Prior to his life on the Sea, Roger enlisted in the U.S. Army out of Dartmouth High School and attained his mosquito wings as a Private, serving from 1976-1981. Besides his loving mother, Mary, and her companion, Lawrence Gonsalves of Dartmouth; Roger is survived by his two sons and their mother: Roger M. and Dylan R. Hart and Sharon Ferreira, all of New Bedford; his wife Suzanne M. (Dextraze) Hart and her son Louis Luiz of New Bedford; sisters Roberta L. (Hart) Murray of Dartmouth and Rebecca L.
