SHEA, Robert Vincent, quite possibly one of the best human beings to walk the face of the planet, lost a long and very brave battle with cancer on Thursday, September 14, 2017, when he peacefully passed from the love and adoration of his wife, mother, brothers, family and friends to be with God and wait smiling for us there.
Born on September 16, 1966 in Boston, MA. He earned his high school diploma in 1984, attending West Roxbury High School. He joined and was honorably discharged from the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Gulf War, while stationed in Germany. He was an active member of his community, belonging to the B.P.O Elks Lodge, the Knights of Columbus, the V.F.W., and the Boston Police Emerald Society. He was employed by National Grid Boston Gas Company and was a member of the United Steel Workers (U.S.W) Local 12012.
Loving husband of Patricia Ann (Brooks) Shea of West Roxbury. Beloved son of Anna Francis (Kelly) Shea of Dorchester and the late John Joseph Shea of Adrigole, IR. Brother of John Joseph Shea of West Roxbury, James Patrick Shea of Canton, Daniel Brendan Shea of South Yarmouth, Christopher Kevin Shea of Frederick, MD, Matthew Gerard Shea of West Roxbury, and the late Timothy Francis Shea, of West Roxbury. Cousin of Erin (Clifford) Murphy of Weymouth and the late and Mary (Clifford) McGrath of Dorchester. Also survived by many well-loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends who will miss his love, wit and laughter dearly.
