Worcester - Ronald H. Cross, 74, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, following a brief illness. He was born in Worcester, a son of the late Richard and Mary (McQueenie) Cross.
Ron attended South High School. He worked for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority Auburn Maintenance for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of Christ the King Parish in Worcester.
He leaves his beloved wife of many years, Joan M. (Gribbons); his six children, Lisa M. Martin and her husband, Charles of Norwell, Dianne M. Morrill and her husband, Bernard of Charleston, SC, Patrick S. Cross of Worcester, Melissa A. Brady and her husband, Joseph of Worcester, Eric R. Cross and his wife, Gillianne of Kingwood, TX and Siobhan A. Mariscal and her husband, Douglas of Spencer; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ron's family would like to thank the staff of the ICU at Saint Vincent Hospital for their tender care and support of both Ron and his family.
A private memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pastoral Care of St. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer Street, Worcester, MA. 01608 or The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA. 01701.
