Rita A. Perreault, a longtime resident of Medford, passed away at the Wakefield Center in Wakefield on Wednesday evening, September 13, 2017. She was 92 years old.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire on June 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. Perreault and Marie (Arel). Ms. Perreault was a Grey Nun in Manchester, New Hampshire. She also had been employed at the Youville Hospital in Cambridge as the head of housekeeping.
In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and dancing. She was also an active member of St. Joseph Church in Medford, signing in the choir and serving as lector. She will be dearly missed.
She was the sister of Sr. Philomena Perreault, Roland Browning and Yvonne Geddes and the late Lucian Perreault, Irene DiPietro and Theodore Perreault. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, from 9 to 10 AM. Interment will be privately held.
