SOMERSET – Louise C. Miguel, age 91, passed away on September 8, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at Clifton Rehab Nursing Center. She was the beloved wife for 68 years to Joao A. Miguel. Born in Somerset, she was the daughter of the late John and Antoinette (Viveiros) Cordeiro. Louise loved to spend her time doing needlework. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband she is survived by her children: John Miguel (wife Claudia) of RI, Thomas P. Miguel (wife Peggy) of Somerset, David B. Miguel (late wife Susan) of Westport and Sandra M. Miguel (husband Richard Messier) of RI; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her siblings: Michael Cordeiro, Manuel Cordeiro, John Cordeiro, Theresa Rezendes and Alice Desrosier.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph’s Church at 11 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset. www.rogersfuneral.com.
