Maria de Conceicão (Leonardo) Medeiros, age 82, passed away Sept. 1, 2017. Born in Furnas, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife of Angelo Medeiros and daughter of the late Antonio and Maria do Carmo (Pereira) Leonardo. She retired as a housekeeper for a nursing home and was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Myra Church.
Maria was the mother of Ozzie Medeiros of N. Dighton and Brenda Moynihan of Dighton. She also leaves 4 grandchildren ~ Justin, Mckala, Kyle and Collin; great-grandchild Vincent and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. Family and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Monday from 6-8pm in the funeral home and to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10am at St. Nicholas Myra Church, N. Dighton followed by Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
