Mrs. Marie Mariella Tabuteau St. Louis, of Brockton,. died on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at home. Marie was 90 years old, and was born on November 19, 1926 in Jeremie, Haiti. In 1969 she married Joseph L. St. Louis, and together they had four children, Edwin, Bensen, Mackenzie, and Natacha. Marie was a homemaker who dedicated her entire life to her family.
In 1973 Marie immigrated to the United States from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and worked hard to bring her four children to the United States in 1974.
Our mother was a caring, thoughtful, compassionate, and loving woman whose family was the center of her universe. Marie was an extraordinary story teller who used the power of words and great cooking to create an unbreakable bond with family and friends. Marie valued education, and pushed all her children and grandchildren to strive for greatness. She felt a deep connection with all, and always tried to make a difference in the lives of all she knew.
Marie is survived by her children Edwin, and wife Jodly, Bensen and his wife Gemima, Mackenzie, and Natacha and her husband Williston, her grandchildren Samantha, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Taleasha, Williston Jr., Christopher, Benjamin, Sofia, Nicholas; her great grandchild Ilyana; her daughter-in-law, Ghislaine Moliere, her nieces Bernadette Tabuteau, Juna Enayo, and her son Kenzy Sylvestre, and her cousins Clay Petion, Betsy Dorat, and Igor Petion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Satuday morning September 2 at 10 am in Saint Angela's Church, 1548 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan.
