Obituary



WORCESTER-Emilia “Phyllis” Silvestris, 85 of Worcester, went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2017 at The Hermitage in Worcester following an extended illness.



Phyllis was born on April 1, 1932, the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Maria (Litto) Silvestris; she was a lifelong resident of Worcester. She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert J. Silvestris, Jr. in 2016 and Frank A. Silvestris in 1994 and her sister, Francesca A. Hopkins in 2001. She leaves several nieces and nephews.



Phyllis was a talented seamstress/presser in the garment industry locally, she also worked for Woolworths and the Greyhound bus terminal downtown as well as Worcester Molded Plastics. She greatly enjoyed bingo, music and lobster.



The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at The Hermitage and Asera Care Hospice for their care and support of Phyllis.


A Graveside Service will be held Monday, September 11 at Saint John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. Arrangements in the care of CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street.
