Stuart, Douglas L. 88, of Dedham, August 29, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (Sears Sherba) Stuart and the late Isabelle (Caruso) Stuart.
Douglas served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Former small business owner. He was a longtime associate of Lechmere Sales where he met Barbara. Together they enjoyed travel and square dancing for 17 wonderful years. He leaves his step-children Karen Sherba Easton, Janet Butz, James Sherba, several nieces and nephews and seven step-grandchildren who will dearly miss their Grampy.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 HIgh St. Dedham, Friday September 1 from 11:00am-1pm with a funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Douglas’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
