Donna M. (MacPherson) Cormier, age 65 of Brockton, died Sunday at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Jay Cormier.
Donna was born in Dorchester a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Irving) MacPherson and lived most of her life in Brockton.
A 1970 graduate of Plymouth High School, Donna was a stay at home mother devoted to her home and family. She enjoyed all types of music, especially Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed taking walks with her husband at Fields Park and Cape Cod beaches.
Donna loved all the holidays and especially Christmas. She loved decorating her Christmas tree and listening to Christmas songs with her family.
Donna will be remembered for her infectious laugh and her love for animals, especially cats. Most of all, Donna cherished time spent with her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren.
Donna was the mother of Jennifer (Houghton) Coe of Abington and Tracy (Houghton) Parker of Escondido, California and grandmother of Anicia Parker, Prince Parker, Jr. Jennalyn Parker, Nolan Parker, Aiden Coe and Evan Coe. She was also the sister of Beverly Perkins of Carver, MA and Sandra Gilbert of the Villages, FL.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Saturday 11am-1pm with a funeral service at 1 pm. Please consider a donation in Donna’s name to the Garfield House Residents Activity Fund, 26 Garfield St., Acushnet, MA 02743.
