FALL RIVER… Manuel “Manny” Mello, 76, of Fall River passed away August 29, 2017 at his home.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Manuel and Pasqualina (Silvia) Mello and had lived in the Fall River/Somerset area his whole life.
Mr. Mello was a communicant of the former St. Louis the King Church. He was proprietor of Music Express, worked as a Funeral Attendant and as an EMT with Swansea Ambulance and volunteered with the American Red Cross, St. Anne’s Hospital and the Good Samaritans. He was the Administrator of Simple Cooking & Desserts, a Facebook page where he reviewed local restaurants and loved cooking and flying kites in Newport.
He is survived by his children; Manuel Mello, III of Acushnet, Sherri Mello of Fall River, Jodi Ponte of Acushnet, Darnelle Santos of New Bedford and Rhonda Mello of Colorado, his former wife; Lillian Santos of Swansea, a sister; Barbara Pelletier of Fall River, Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Joan Lowrey.
