Obituary

Mr. Philip J. Bradish, Sr., a lifelong resident of Lawrence and beloved husband of MaryAlice (Saunders) Bradish, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 26, 2017. He was 55 years old.

Born in Lawrence on November 1, 1961, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph Philip Bradish and Mildred M. (Ball) Bradish. Mr. Bradish was a Marine Corps. Veteran, entering the military at Boston and receiving his honorable discharge from Maryland. Mr. Bradish worked as an Infantry Weapons Repairman in the Marines. He received the Rifle Badge for his Marksmanship.

Philip worked at Gillette as a machine operator and second class Fireman for 25 years. After retiring from Gillette he worked for the VA in Manchester, NH as a Fireman.

In his spare time, Philip enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, hosting Patriot's games at his house and reading James Patterson novels. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family and friends while playing 45s, Darts, horseshoes and bowling. He will be dearly missed.

Besides his beloved wife MaryAlice, Philip is survived by his four loving children; Bridget D. Melo and her husband Kevin of Methuen, Sheila P. Hall and her husband James of Derry, NH, Shannon T. Bradish and her partner Bethany A. Kilgore, both of Lawrence and Philip J. Bradish, Jr. of Lawrence, siblings; Deborah H. Giurado and her husband James of Lawrence, Kathleen E. Evangelista and her husband Serge of Port Charlotte, FL, David G. Bradish and his wife Linda of Merrimack, NH, grandson; Matthew M. Melo and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Sheila D'Agata and uncle of the late Serge Evangelista III and Nicholas Evangelista.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, MA on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held.
