Lorraine Marie (Bowler) Medeiros, age 90, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Dennis Medeiros. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Hannora (Flannery) Bowler. Her love, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor naturally drew people to her. She loved John Wayne movies, crossword puzzles, family game nights, playing the harmonica, and most of all Saturday shopping with her daughters and visiting her many friends at Kohl's in Dartmouth. Prior to retiring, she worked in the cafeteria of New England Telephone and as a cook at the All Sports Grill. Loving mother of five children, Sharon Alves (husband Manuel) of Tiverton, RI; Nancy Vieira (husband Allan) of St. Johnsbury, VT; Wayne Medeiros (wife Sandra) of Somerset, MA; Dennis Medeiros, Jr. of New York, and Dawn Ross (husband Wayne) of Westport, MA; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Sister to the late Irene Curtis, Thomas Bowler, William Bowler, Charles Bowler, James Bowler, and George Bowler. She also leaves? many beloved nieces and nephews. She greatly enjoyed making people laugh and will be forever missed by all who knew her. No funeral services are planned.
