Obituary


Louis Marino Ciavarra, age 83 of North Easton, passed away August 24, 2017. Born December 10, 1933 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Margaret (Marino) Ciavarra. He graduated from Brockton High School and Stonehill College and was a proud veteran of the Korean War. As a young man, Louie was an avid golfer, playing through high school and college.

Louie met Maureen O’Hara and married her on June 7, 1958. For the past 60 years, they dedicated themselves to raising their three sons and eleven grandchildren. He coached his children for many years in youth baseball and continued as a Little League coach for over a decade after they grew. In addition, when his children were playing youth hockey he served a number of roles with the Easton Youth Hockey League, including President.

Louie was the father of Louis and his wife Cindy, William and his wife Lynne and Robert and his wife Christine. He was the grandfather of Jaclyn, Megan, Taylor, Terence, Kate, Daniel, Vincent, Nicholas, Hannah, Mia and Cara and great grandfather of Elle Ruth. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, close friends and neighbors.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 2-5pm. The funeral procession will gather Monday at 9am for a funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, North Easton at 10am.
