Obituary

West Boylston
Rose Rebecca (Halpern) D’Andrea passed away peacefully and comfortably surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her caring husband, Craig Dejong, her loving children, Jay M. D’Andrea, Jr. of Worcester, Chelsea R. Tremblay of Charlton and Madison O. Dejong of West Boylston. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Halpern of Worcester and Joan Cutroni of Leicester. Rose also leaves behind four brothers and three sisters; Charles Buduski of Worcester, Judith Keller of Worcester, James Buduski of Shrewsbury, Joel Buduski of Worcester, Jill Lee of Whitinsville, her best friend and sister Jamie Buduski of Leicester, and her youngest brother, Henry Halpern of Holden.
Rose worked at QCC for over 20 years where she leaves behind many friends.
She was an avid animal lover all of her life, winning many ribbons in horse showings. Large or small, she loved animals. Her biggest passion was her family and cooking. There was always something cooking in “Rosie’s Kitchen”. She was funny, bright, and beautiful and will be sadly missed by everyone who loved her. She has gone to be with her parents and best buddy,’ Rusty’; whom she loved and missed very much.
At Rose’s request, her services will be private, and the family would appreciate that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to: U. Mass., 6th floor Oncology Dept., 55 Lake Ave., North, Worcester, MA. 01655.
The ROBERT J. MILLER-OXFORD FUNERAL HOME, 247 Main St., Oxford is honored to be directing Rose’s funeral services, as she wished.
