Ruth C. (Murray) Bond, of Plymouth, formerly of Hanson, Braintree, Wollaston and Dorchester, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2017, just five days before her 99th birthday. The beloved wife of 50 years of the late Charles H. “Chuck” Bond, she was the loving mother of Ruth Ann Bond of Plymouth and Linda Parker (William) of FL. Affectionately known as “Ghee”. Ruth leaves 2 treasured grandchildren, Laurie Jean Abruzzi (Robbie) and Scott Kelly (Heather) of Plymouth. Proud great-grandmother of Robert, Cassidy, Taylor, and Danica Abruzzi of Plymouth an Zack Leite (Kristyn) of NC and Anthony Leite (Katie) of CA. Daughter of the late Paul C. and Nora Elizabeth Murray, Ruth was sister of the late Paul Murray, Mary Stone, and Ethel Willwerth and is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Ruth loved the ocean – she and Chuck spent many happy summers at the Gurnet Inn at Duxbury Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday morning at St. Thecla's Church, Pembroke.. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Friday, from 4 to 7 PM. Burial in Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson.
