Carr, Colin M. of Chicago Illinois, formerly of Wellesley, August 1, 2017. Beloved son of Paul and Deborah (Horan) Carr of Jamaica Plain, formerly of Wellesley. Brother of Katie Tyler and her husband Brian of Easton, MA and Andrew Carr of Durham, North Carolina. Nephew of Suzanne and Robert O' Donnell of Naples FL and Marshfield , MA, Michael Carr of Centerville, MA, Janice Desmond of Scituate, MA, Susan and Brian Buckley of Boston, MA. Many loving cousins, Michael and Lauren O'Donnell, Meaghan and Tony DiLallo, Brian and Mindy O'Donnell, Beth and Liam O'Flaherty, Caleb and Anna Desmond, Olivia and Evan Russell, and Madeline Buckley. He also leaves his cherished dog Henry.
Colin passed away suddenly while attending graduate school at the University of Chicago. He attended St. John's elementary school in Wellesley and was a graduate of Wellesley High School class of 2008. He received his bachelors degree at Grinnell College. Colin was a lover of movies, food, and books. He had an insatiable thirst for learning which led him to the University of Chicago where he was studying philosophy. He grew up in Wellesley where he leaves many friends.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. Wellesley on Tuesday, August 8 at 10am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 9 Glen Rd., Wellesley Hills at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Monday, August 7, from 4-8pm. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wellesley Free Library Foundation, 530 Washington Street 02482 or the AFSP.org.
