FALL RIVER…Maria N. (Cordeiro) DeMedeiros, 71, of Fall River passed away August 2, 2017 at Bedford Gardens Care and Rehabilitation Center in New Bedford.
She was the wife of Jose DeMedeiros.
Born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Josnena (Pimental) Cordeiro. She had moved to Fall River in 1980.
Mrs. DeMedeiros worked as a seamstress at various mills throughout Fall River. She was a communicant of Santo Christo Church, Fall River and loved spending time with her family.
Along with her husband, survivors include her daughters; Gabriela Barbosa of Fall River & Gloria Raposa of London, England, her sons; Frank Medeiros, Louis Medeiros & Ricardo Medeiros, all of Fall River, 7 grandchildren; Veronica, Kevin, Shane, Vanessa, Noah, Selena & Angelina, 2 great grandchildren; Nathan & Ethan, a brother, a sister, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 8 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
