Obituary

Helen D. (Kaye) Buckley, 86, of Little Compton died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was wife of the late James A. Buckley.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Eunice Kaye, she was a lifelong resident of Little Compton. Prior to her retirement in 1987, she was a secretary for Globe Manufacturing in Fall River. She was a member of the Little Compton United Congregational Church, where she served as secretary of the church auction for many years. An avid animal lover she loved her pet cat Lexie and her son's dog Dozer. Mrs. Buckley enjoyed knitting, going to the beach, going out to eat, gardening and getting her hair done.

Survivors include a son: Bryan L. Gomez and his companion Deborah Irving of Little Compton; 2 daughters: Kathy A. Waite and her husband Douglas of Tiverton and Donna I. Silva of Little Compton; 2 grandchildren: Scott A. Miranda and David A. Miranda; 4 great grandchildren: Hayley, McKenna, Kyla and Jaden Miranda; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday from 5 - 8 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home..

Funeral services will be private.
