Johnnie K. Nelson, 79 of Sycamore passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on November 24, 1937 to the late Johnnie K. Sr. and Millie Elizabeth Ray Nelson. Mr. Nelson loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed camping. He was a self-employed woodworker who took his crafts to many shows and festivals. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joanne Nelson of Sycamore; children, Ken (Nikki) Nelson of Van Buren, Arkansas; Beth (David) Varnadoe of Hazlehurst and Tony (Libby) Nelson of Sycamore; grandchildren, Joshua Nelson, Jason Nelson and Daniel (Brittany) Nelson. He is also survived by several cousins. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Sycamore Baptist Church with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Sycamore. The family is receiving friends at their residence, 3031 Highway 41 South Sycamore. | ||||
