Obituary

Joseph J. SanClemente, lifelong Natick resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick after a brief illness at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Deignan) SanClemente.

Born, raised and educated in Natick, the son of the late Giuseppe and Giannina (DeBernardi) SanClemente of Busto Arsizio, Italy. Joseph was a 1950 graduate of Natick High. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in 1956. During his career, Joseph developed a strong interest and specialized in the design of rail and transit systems throughout the Northeast.
In addition to his dedication to his work, Joseph was a kindhearted person who loved to help others when possible. He remained dedicated to his children and grandchildren. Joseph was an avid enthusiast of the New England Sports Franchises. Most of all, he simply loved to spend time with his family, especially while enjoying Italian cuisine.

Joseph and Mary first met in 1952 and have shared 61 years together in marriage. The two first settled in Natick where they created their home and would continue to raise their family.

In addition to his wife Mary, Joseph is survived by his children: William SanClemente and his wife Patricia of Worcester, Daniel SanClemente and his wife Lynne of Medway, Carol Riddle and her husband David of Bolton, Edward SanClemente of Falmouth, Paul SanClemente and his wife Kerri of Southborough; grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Cameron, Connor, Kayla, Nicholas, Kelly, Ella, Charlotte, Michael, and Jennifer; great grandchildren: Ethan, and Ellie, his sister Dorothy Whalen of Natick, brother Robert SanClemente and Barbara of Lexington as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 13. Relatives and friends are invited to join with his family at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common at 9:00 A.M. prior to the Mass. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, June 12 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
