HORTON - Joseph M. "Joe Joe" Horton, 61, passed away Monday morning, May 29, 2017 at his Yulee, FL residence.
He was born August 27, 1955 in Lake City, FL and moved to Yulee21 years ago.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Horton enjoyed gardening and loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved to talk to people about the Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patty Horton of Yulee, FL; three sons, Caleb Michael Horton, Jacob Lovette Horton and Thomas Michael Applewhite, all of Yulee; his parents, George and Margaret Horton of Lake City, FL; his mother in law, Martha Jane Russ of Yulee; two brothers, Jim Horton of Yulee and Randy Horton of Lake City; and two sisters, Ester McCoy (Steve) and Lisa Cowart, both of Lake City.
There will be a ceremony celebrating his life at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, at 943 Northwest Brown Road, Lake City, FL 32025.

Joe Joe had a love for life and lived life to the fullest every day.
