Joseph W. Calabro age 92 of Canton, passed away at home May 13th surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Dorchester, he graduated from Boston Latin High School and went on to get his Air Craft and Mechanic Certification. He worked as Mechanic at Wiggins Airport in Norwood and for Polaroid Corp for many years before retiring. Joe was an avid reader, enjoyed fixing anything with motor and refurbishing older boats. Beloved husband for 68 years of Catherine R. (Condito). Father of Maria Ingemi and her husband Joseph of Canton. Grandfather of Dr. Michael Ingemi of Canton. Also survived by his four legged friend, Coco and a large extended family including a sister in law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday morning at 10:30. Visiting hours Thursday morning prior to the service from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice. | |||||
