Audrey I. Walsh (Matt) of Norton, formerly of Canton, passed away April 16th at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Born and raised in Rutland, VT, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Bernice (Buswell) Matt. She graduated from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsfield and worked as a RN at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester for many years before retiring. In her spare time Audrey enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and shopping. Beloved wife of the late Joseph D. Mother of Joseph M. Walsh and his wife Mary of Norton, Gregory T. Walsh and his fiancé Cathy Harte of Bridgewater, Karen M. Walsh of Attleboro and Michael P. Walsh and his wife Jodie of Stoughton. Grandmother of Megan and Matt DiVenere, Caitlin Walsh, Gregory and Melissa Walsh and Brendan and Jillian Walsh. Great grandmother of Grace DiVenere. Sister of Yvonne Zsido of Rutland, VT and the late Diane Wallet, Phyllis Marceau, Bruce and Gary Matt. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, especially Shelly Duprey with whom she had a special bond. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Thursday at 12 noon. Visiting hours prior to the mass at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday from 10:00 to 11:30 am. Burial private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105. | |||||
