Kevin William Chamberlain “Chopper”, 66, of Andover, MA, passed away into the arms of our lord on March 29, 2017, at Beverly Hospital. Kevin is the son of Helen West and stepfather, Charlie West.
Kevin grew up in Lawrence, MA and joined the service at the age of 17. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in December of 1967 with a total of 3 years active service. During his military service he earned The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and riding his Harley. Kevin will be remembered for his amazing ability to make people laugh and his humble and kind soul. Kevin’s life revolved around making people smile. His warmth will live on in the hearts of his family and friends for all eternity.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Susan Chamberlain, his daughter Alicia Wright and her husband, Patrick Wright of Chester, NH, his mother, Helen West of Andover, MA, his brother, Joe Chamberlain and his wife Marci Chamberlain of Andover, MA, his 2 sisters, Kimberly West Heidt and her husband, Robert Heidt and Judy Lynch and her husband, Jim Lynch, many nieces and nephews, in-laws and many, many friends.
Kevin was predeceased by his stepfather Charlie, his beloved brother, Michael “Mickey” Chamberlain and his mother in- law, Donna Robinson whom he adored.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, April 7, 2017, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 3 to 6 PM.
