Durwood "Woody" W. Moody, 85, formerly of Andover and Reading, Ma passed peacefully on Friday, November 9th at his home surrounded by his loving wife, Jeanette of 42 years and many family members.
He leave two sons Bruce S. Moody and his wife Suzanne of West Barnstable and David Moody and his fiancee Jamie Green of Quincy and daughter Jeanne Jekanowski and her husband Tom of Nantucket. He also leaves 9 loving grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren whom he adored.
He was a W W II Army veteran with the 10th Mountain Division and a member of Pipefitters Local 537 for more than 60 years. During his 26 years of retirement, he spent much time sport fishing with his son aboard "The Bottom Line" and winning numerous fishing tournaments. In addition, he enjoyed many years of skiing the expert slopes of Maine, Vermont, Utah, and California with family and friends.
