Claire Evelyn (Thomas) Forde, age 92, passed away at the Golding Living Center in Middleboro on Saturday October 30, 2010. She is the wife of the late John T. Forde Jr. and is survived by her 2 daughters, Jacquelynne Beard and Jill McGovern and her husband James all of Plymouth, her son John T. Forde III of Indianapolis, IN, her sisters- in law, Natalie Barritt of Weymouth, Charlotte Mims of VA, Judith Forde and Nina Forde both of Quincy, her 4 grandchildren, Shannon Stump, Shawn McGovern, Graham Beard and Shelley McGovern and 3 ¾ great grandchildren and her extended family Suzanne Kelly of East Bridgewater, Jack Kaval of Duxbury and Linda Davis of Halifax and many nieces and nephews. Claire was born in Naples, Italy, grew up in Middleboro and Milton and lived in Weymouth and Plymouth. She served her Country during World War II as a Navy WAVE. Claire was a legal secretary at Hemenway and Barnes in Boston for over 15 years. She played the piano by ear and always enjoyed music and dancing. Visiting will be at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 241 Broad St. Weymouth on Thursday November 4 from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon followed immediately by a Funeral Service at Noon. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 3 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Claire’s memory to the Trinity Episcopal Church, 241 Broad St. Weymouth, MA 02188 or the charity of your choice.
