Sara Young Lang, 85, of Tifton died Friday, August 13, 2010, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Dr. Wayne Roe will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Frank Raley Sunday school class of Tifton’s First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 14, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Lang was born on August 4, 1925 in Ty Ty and was the daughter of James Samuel Young and Jessie Sadie Chapman Young, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Robert "Bunk" Lang; one brother; three sisters; and one grandson, Brian Lang. She was retired as the co-owner of Lang Printing Company and a member of Tifton's First Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a member of her sewing club and enjoyed playing “setback”, gardening and fishing.
Mrs. Lang is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Robert and Brenda Lang of Sycamore and Ernest Ramon and Cynthia Lang of Tifton; one daughter, Dianne Lang Duncan and friend, Edward Rhodes of Tifton; six grandchildren, Angela Lang Castro, Robby Lang, Stephanie Duncan Ray, Aimee Lang, Jeniffer Lang Lynch and Lindsey Lang; four great grandchildren, Laura Castro, Gabriela Castro, Kyle Gray and Kayla Lang; and her care-givers, Idell Wilcox, Daisy Barnes, Pattie Swails, Theresa Jordan and Evelyn Slack.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Forward in Faith Building Fund at Tifton’s First Baptist Church.
