Obituary

DRACUT - Robert L. Hanley, 64, of Dracut died unexpectedly Saturday in Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband for 30 years of Donna M. (Thyne) Hanley of Dracut.

Born in Boston on July 11, 1944, he was a son of the late Luke and Margaret (Romaine) Hanley. He received his education in the Boston school system.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam War as a Seaman in the United States Navy.

Mr. Hanley had been employed for 20 years as a Purchasing Agent by Spruce Environmental Technologies located in Ward Hill, Haverhill.

He was a communicant of St. Marguerite D'Youville Parish at Ste. Therese Church in Dracut.

In his free time he enjoyed playing solitaire and cherished time spent in the company of his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Alyson Hanley of Dracut; two sons Bryan and Craig Hanley of Dracut; one grandson Owen Bottary; two sisters Peggy Kuchlewski and her husband Robert of Orlando, FL, Virginia Porter and her husband Andrew of Plymouth; one brother Thomas Hanley and his wife Dorothy of Malden; a sister-in-law Karen Cloonan of Lowell; two brothers-in-law James Thyne and his wife Sydelle of College Point, TX and Kevin Thyne and his wife Sheree of Pelham, NH; his mother-in-law Marilyn Thyne of Lowell; a dear friend Howard Zidel of Salem, NH; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother-in-law of the late Thomas Cloonan.

Friends may call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM. His Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 8 AM followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 AM in St. Marguerite D'Youville Parish at Ste. Therese Church, Dracut. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury.
